| Languages of Shaola | 2022-10-31 | Numerous languages are used in Shaola, across the mainland and Everland in the Far East, beyond the Eastern Sea. The Old Tongue, sometimes called the Lost Tongue, was the now-extinct language that existed in Shaola for millions of years. It consisted of the High Tongue and the Low Tongue. The former was used by scholars and the elite but it was not really a substantial or popular language. | Orcs in Shaola | 2022-10-26 | In Shaola, most non-humans have been wiped out by Men's kingdoms and the Human Supremacy Alliance. The only surviving major races are Orcs, Elves, and Dwarves. Orcs are one of the largest races of humanoid creatures. Each clan is composed of a large group of mindless brutal creatures who strive to burn and destroy for fun. They are a brutish, aggressive, repulsive, and generally malevolent species and are usually pressed into the service of evil powers. | Elves in Shaola | 2022-10-20 | In Shaola, most non-humans have been wiped out by Men’s kingdoms and the Human Supremacy Alliance (HSA). The only surviving humanoid races are Elves, Dwarves, and Orcs. Elves are well known for their grace and mastery of magic and weapons such as the sword and bow. They are famously long-lived, with much longer lifespans than the average human. Slightly smaller and shorter than most humans, Elves tend to be slender and graceful. | Development update on the Shaola series | 2021-01-12 | It's been a long 2020! I thought now would be a good time for a development update since it's a brand new year and it's been awhile. We all know 2020 was a tough year. We were hit with setbacks and development was stalled, but it's a brand new year and we're coming back in full force! We're currently working on Mysteries of Shaola: The Cave. It is a new chronicle of Shaola where you become Ice of Zuda Kingdom, the legendary investigator, one of the Magnificent Five. | Update 2.1 | 2020-05-27 | Version 2.1 is live! This minor update enhances some graphics and sound effects, with a few additional bug-fixes. Graphics and sound effects enhancement Background music on ending scenes have been modified All known glitches/exploits on events and cutscenes have been fixed If there are any bugs left, please let us know, we'll try to fix them ASAP. | Update 2.0 | 2020-02-25 | Changes in version 2.0: All passability errors in forests and jungle have been fixed. Some Anger skills animation have been improved. Some graphics, character sets have been upgraded to F8 with smoother movement. Several modification on quests instruction, presentation and dialogues. More realistic time frame while substituting during battle. More experience and rewards for battles in Zalumi. All known bugs have been fixed. After this update, we will shift our focus to complete the upcoming title in the Shaola series. Steam community is the most important to us, we are still going to follow up closely for your feedback on Heroes of Shaola. :) |

| The Shaola series | 2019-09-29 | Five years ago, we got together and started our research on parallel universes in fiction such as Middle-Earth, Neverland, Elfland, Discworld, and the rich worlds of A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), The Witcher... as well as the great storytelling of Japanese fiction, notably manga and role-playing games. Afterward, we decided to write about the great stories in the world of Shaola. With that approach, we focused on creating hybrid games that combine our favorite aspects of old school RPGs and JRPGs, while at the same time, removing those things some players didn't like, like random encounters and time-consuming grinding.
