ShipShaper Demo arrives now!2026-02-12Something new arrives, something that is about my love for boats and ships. As you may have noticed , ships play a vital role in the Falconeer, and each ship is unique. Handcrafted little homages to the age of sail and early steampowered warships. And For Bulwark (my other game) I wanted to make a ship designer expansion, and that's what I've been working on for the lasts months. It's gone really well and it's turned into a versatile design tool called ShipShaper that I am spinning of into its own application, And the demo is available right now !! For you FAlconeer users, no the demo does not export to FalconeerYET!, but the final product wi

Steamdeck compatibility and Linux Proton recognition fixed by Valve2025-11-25Hi everyone an update on the Steamdeck verification. For the Remaster I famously removed the linux native build. As I explained I didn't have the pipeline setup for linux anymore and honestly Its been a bunch of years and It wasn't practical to make a native build anymore. Also you cannot mix and match native and non native versions in the Steam backend, so either the remaster wouldn't work at all (and only the old native version) or visa versa. I chose for the Remaster to be the standard launch option. BUT this broke the autodetect on Linux and SteamOS.. Cuz the old verification pointed the steam app to a no longer existent native build and n
aiming hotfix on beta2025-11-18So folks mentioned some of the following items, so a hotfix is on the beta branch -you can lock much further away-you cannot accidentally lock onto a friendly target when you accidentaly shoot, unless you use the lock button unless there is nothing else to target -fishing is bit easier.enjoy, let me know if the changes are good so this can go to live branch

Controls and aiming hotfix2025-11-11So some helpful players brought some very precise feedback on why the aiming and controls weren't clicking. Developer tunnelvision was in full effect here cuz basically the vertical controls weren't the same sensitivity as turning controls. Making everything feel slightly off and causing much nosediving. Also fixed the rolls not responding Vertical sensitivity reduced to match horizontal sensitivity, without sacrificing agility, just matchedreduced the auto leveling so vertical aiming isn't fighting the auto levelingfixed the rolls and dives not triggering if you pressed the directional controls after pressing the roll button modifier (trigge

Auto detect KBM or PAD on first startup2025-11-08Hi there, I added a detection system at first boot, if you pass the title screen with a keyboard or mouse press it will set the controls to mouse and keyboard. If you press with pad, it will set it to pad. After that the setting is saved and can be changed in the control menu. This won't affect existing saves. It will show you what control method is loaded at the title screen tho. I also fixed that during the tutorial it says to roll left stick + left Trigger.. and the same for mouse, so people know its a combo press.. Hope this helps folks with controller issue
remaster patch #1 live.2025-11-08Hi Everyone , the firs proper hotfix is now live. It fixes some user reported issues and hopefully some minor QoL issues. Mouse and Keyboard players will hopefully find that the targeting reticule is closer to where shots land and overall more usable. In the meanwhile steam input has been turned on as this seemed to fix a lot of controller troubles, with controllers not being detected. I will try to make a linux build at some point, I can make that promise, and if its easy then yes I've heard all the messages loud and clear. But will only try some time after launch launch, it's also a bit dangerous to put anything up that is that untested or
Expanded Hotfix available on betas, SteamInput changes2025-11-07Hi everyone I saw a few issues about controllers not being recognized, it turns out a lot were solvable by turning on steamInput, so I've made that the default. If you had your gamepad not being recognized, please check again if its better, or check in game properties if Steaminput is turned on. Other issues and Improvement came out of the forums , here's the list: from the earlier hotfix on BETA:tied the camera more directly to the left stick on gamepad, removed unnessecary deadcurveadded colored aiming reticules, its the white box in the gui colors settingsfixed ships from going upside downfixed localisation text typosmoved the mouse aim re

Falconeer Revolution Remaster Launches Today!2025-11-05The Revolution Remaster live today! (1900CET)After weeks of intensive Beta testing and near daily improvements and new features, the Remaster is finally live. I am not going to wax poetic on the emotional journey, except that my anxiety is at peak levels. I hope and pray this remaster shows the dedication I have for my games and that playing them is more than a quick experience, it's taking part in a creative journey that is now going on for over a decade. Couldn't do it without all of you. Now lets get into some details.. There is a lot to go over here :Regarding VR:The VR version has not been remastered, if the remaster gains enough tractio

Beta hotfix #72025-10-31Hi everyone, You may have seen a bunch of updates the last few days, this is because when someone reports a bug , I tend to patch in a solution that can be tested right away. I did today upload a build that was less performant, so that also got patched out earlier tonight with a build that should be a little bit more performant, especially if you go to high shadows instead of ultra. bugfix for the dreadnot mission that refocuses if you lose the itemattempted some performance improvements for steamdeckadded a 85% downsample option to AA, this basically allows steamdeck users to have a lower gameplay resolution but keep the UI readable at nativ
Remaster Beta #hotfix 6,, content freeze2025-10-29Hi everyone, the remaster hotfix 6 is now available, Here's the list:added a WASD axis option to assign different options to WASD when in mkb mode.added a 'green district' to westgateadded a 'stone district' to port remitchanged that under mkb controls the fast travel on the map is LMB based and more button-eyfixed crabton not appearing, chapter 1 finale not ending.added missing voicestuned the sunset colors a bitSo the WASD and mouse button changes are actually some of the last changes to the MKB that have been made. Any player should be able to recreate the "legacy" mkb controller systems, except the flying turret option, tho a hybrid of th
hotfix #5 for the remaster is out2025-10-27The pace of improvement is going at a good clip. I've been busy pretty much on a whim to implement a really cool tech art solution for dynamic damage. Specifically for the blimp balloons. It always irked me that it was just shooting duds at what is a really vulnerable giant outerskin to a set of inner airblatters. I was really missing that "ooh the humanity" moment when the airships go down. So I tried to make that. It's certainly coming at the cost of some gpu cycles but its worth it I think. The UX for the chapter selection and some other menus didn't have rollovers or really any good UX for mouse,, also improved that (ongoing). final versi
hotfix #4 Native Linux change and Balloon damage system2025-10-26Hi everyone, Things are getting a bit out of hand, as linux users cannot by default try the Remaster beta. Simply because its become impractical to maintain so many branches of the remaster and future main game. This causes folks not to receive the remaster because the launch option for linux won't get updated and other issues. So for the time being the Linux version will now revert to Proton for the short term future. Apologies, not having a studio of devs helping me does bring limitations and this is one. On the positive side: I am in the midst of delivering a balloon dynamic damage model. Exposing the internal air bladders and lattice fram
Remaster beta hotfix #3 , adding arrow keys flight control2025-10-25So someome posted about the new mouse scheme, actually two persons so far, with valid critiques. One of them was that WASD for the acrobatics cannot be re-bound(binded?) , which is true. And another one explaining they were a retro gamer that used the arrow keys , not the WASD keys. Now I am not 100% sure these are talking about the same issue, but I had a sleep and a think. And I woke up with the following idea: what if the new mouse steering just works together with a keyboard based yaw/pitch. now the seperation of the acrobatics, roll , dive, boost up, is a clear improvement, especially since A and D now represent stratfing or directional
