March HotFix2026-03-27Hey guys, This update fixes an issue in the tutorial with the skin selector being available too early, and the new contextual system from the last update, causing UI issues with unlocks in the story mode for players with older save data. Over the next few months, we aim to update the onboarding process further, but will likely do smaller updates like this one to ensure game analytics show the changes are healthy and not causing confusion. Analytics showed the early game design was too confusing and caused the game to feel clunky, so we want to be careful while addressing those issues players kept running into.
February HotFix2026-03-06This update fixes some older issues that have not been addressed in prior patches due to technical issues with the project that previously existed and could not be resolved at the time, resolves UI bugs/design quirks mentioned in a few reviews, improves the speed of text dialogue appearing, and updates controls to feel a bit better on both mouse and Gamepad. Additionally, the controls pop-up on your HUD is now context sensitive for what you can currently do gameplay-wise to prevent control confusion, and all localization languages are supported as well. I am committed to working through bugs that users report either through steam, discord, em
UI and Localization Update2026-01-28Hey Guys, This update aims to address some issues with the main menu and settings menu that had caused confusion among new players, along with updating the dialogue code to be instant for the campaign(previously called story mode). Exo Mayhem is now 1.5 years old and so I will not be paying for real-time dialogue generation anymore, it will be entirely prebaked so all players will get the same dialogue for the campaign with this update. The story and content remains the same though. Given the game now has multiple hours worth of content and is in a good state, updates will likely move to small bug fixes or minor design issues(like menu text c

Aura Farming And Story Update Out Now!2025-07-15This update addresses several review criticisms, adds a new 4-8 hour story mode, and a character redesign for all skins. Here are the full patch notes: Content: All missions have been reworked into a guided story set across Paradise Mall and the Chrono Station. Sandbox Mode no longer has missions—only Free Roam. Story Mode contains all missions. All missions have new music for consistency and to help maintain a cohesive feel. The previous music, from a royalty-free site, was used in other game trailers and didn’t fit the game’s theme, so custom music was created. Weapon and power unlocks have been integrated into Story Mode to make progressio

Community Update for April 20252025-04-08Sorry about not having new content recently, I have been working hard on a PS5 port for the game, this port is now finishing up so new content and changes can be made again. In May, I am targeting a release of an update that radically changes how missions are done, instead of them being open world side quests they will instead be done through a story with guided objectives, rewards, and interactions. This means longer playtime, a story to follow on top of the sandbox gameplay reviews recommend, and new experiences for existing players. Be sure to wishlist and follow the game on steam to know when it drops, alongside when sales happen. Thank y

Sandbox Mode Added2024-08-21I heard your feedback! This patch adds a new sandbox mode to the main menu options that allows you to have all powers, weapons, and upgrades unlocked from the get go if you just want to be OP and not worry about character progression. This should alleviate the possible "clunky" low stats feel you would have before upgrading your character to become more powerful. The standard game mode with progression is still an option, you will need to choose which mode you want in the main menu. This patch also adds a DRM screen to help prevent piracy, it uses steam to handle the DRM so it is lightweight and only checks once when starting the game. You wi
