| Playtest sign-ups are now open! | 2026-10-15 | If you can't wait to play Liber Magus, I invite you to join the playtest. It features content that will be included in the upcoming demo — specifically, the farm and the first dungeon. Game testing is the hardest part for a solo developer, so I’d really appreciate your help. If you are a native speaker, I would ask you to pay special attention to the translation accuracy. Also, please check out the spell editor. Try different things—there are a ton of combinations! And finally, the farm. I used to have some issues with it, but everything seems to be working fine now. You can discuss the playtest and share your overall impressions of the game he |
| Devblog 3 | 2026-04-03 | I’ve updated the screenshots and game description so they better reflect what the game is actually like. I’m making changes as I develop and test the game. Initially, I planned to have the dungeon levels procedurally generated, but I wasn’t happy with the result. Pre-designed rooms give players more opportunities to plan their run—and that feels like the right approach. With that in mind, the game is now closer to an extraction shooter than a roguelike. I’ve updated the tags and description accordingly.I’ve also set a release date—Q4 2026. The current development pace allows for this, but the date is tentative—it’s better to release later wit |
| Devblog 2 | 2025-10-22 | I recently finished another sprint I set for myself and made a new trailer for the game=)I also added weapon for the main character. It's still in development, but I hope the main idea is already clear =)The plot and overall vibe have also shifted towards a more humorous tone.Check out the gun itself. I think it turned out pretty well. |
| Devblog 1 | 2025-02-24 | I decided to start a development blog for this game and give people more information of what this game is about. The most interesting thing in my opinion is creating your own spells, and there is an ellement adding randomness to this system. Pets. These are non-combat creatures that live in your house and give some bonuses to certain categories in the magic editor that would make your spells a little more powerful if you have the right pet. In the world you can find them as inventory items or buy them from a merchant. If you find a pet that you already have, its level will increase and the bonuses it gives will also increase. |
