Gold packs fixed: 1,000 Gold for players2026-11-03From 21 October to 2 November, Gold packs showed no prices. That is fixed, and everyone who played during that time has received 1,000 Gold.
Vertal Strike 3.7.47 - Molotov kills count2026-11-01Molotov kills now count for the thrower in the kill feed, score and kill missions. With friendly fire off, entering a teammate's Molotov fire no longer starts burn damage. Your own fire can still burn you. Fixed an error that could stop another player's Molotov reload from animating on your screen. German, Czech and Slovak text fixes, including the German first-launch note about how your progress is saved.
Vertal Strike 3.7.46 - Match-end fix and better German2026-11-01Fixed an issue where a player leaving an online Free For All or Grenade Duel match could prevent it from ending at the kill limit. In Free For All, the same issue could also leave the leader display out of date. Clearer, more natural German wording in weapon descriptions, menus, HUD labels, shop text and rank goals, including fixes for awkward wording and an incomplete equipment-replacement message.
Vertal Strike 3.7.45 - A cleaner Farm and better translations2026-10-31Farm has a new, calmer look, with less saturated greenery, darker foliage and a more matte look for stock weapons and hands. The changes aim to make soldiers easier to pick out against the scenery. Menu soldier previews and stock weapon previews also use the updated material look. Soldier uniform textures now use smoother distance filtering on every map to reduce shimmer on far-away players. Until you've completed three matches on this PC, unranked Team Deathmatch can give you a short reaction window before an unseen attack. The hunted player's name now shows correctly in the hunt banner and in the "survived the hunt" message. Improved German
Vertal Strike 3.7.43 - Send your best moment to your phone2026-10-31Windows: after saving your best-moment clip on the results screen, choose SEND TO PHONE, then START LOCAL TRANSFER. Scan the QR code and tap REQUEST THIS CLIP on your phone. Compare the code on both screens, press ALLOW THIS PHONE on your PC, then tap DOWNLOAD CLIP on your phone. Connect both devices to the same trusted private Wi-Fi/LAN subnet. The clip goes directly from your PC to your phone, unencrypted, with no extra account, cloud upload or router setup. Each link pairs with one phone and lasts up to 10 minutes; keep the transfer panel open until the download finishes. If Windows Firewall asks, allow the game on your trusted private net
November pass: new reward table from 1 November2026-10-31From the November pass, free Gold rewards are reduced and the former Gold tiers give Silver. Gold rewards are 50 Gold at tiers 10, 30 and 50, for 150 Gold per pass. Weapon tiers give a weapon you do not own yet and can already buy at your level, or 2,500 Silver if no such weapon is available. The November pass starts on 1 November at 00:00 UTC. The current version 3.7.42 already contains the new table, so an up-to-date game shows it from the first minute.
Vertal Strike 3.7.42 - Scoreboard freeze fixed, now in Czech and Slovak2026-10-31Fixed a freeze that could happen when opening the scoreboard with Tab. The scoreboard now uses a solid background. Added Czech and Slovak interface languages. Choose Čeština or Slovenčina in Settings → Language. Ironvault: repositioned team spawn points to reduce direct sight lines between opposing spawn areas. Ironvault is no longer selected for new Free For All matches in Quick Play or Host. Team Deathmatch remains available. Improved translations for Battle Pass reward strips, Play buttons, sign-in status and HOME loadout labels. Corrected Polish and Russian currency wording in Battle Pass reward amounts. Daily reward labels on HOME now sc
Vertal Strike 3.7.41 - Safer spawns and your next goal after every match2026-10-30Quick Play now favours spawn points outside enemy sight lines. The match results show your next rank and the next free weapon, with how far you are from each. Blackreach Keep: bullet marks on walls are no longer cut along straight lines.
Vertal Strike 3.7.40 - Clearer HOME, draws and cleaner text2026-10-30HOME now shows the selected map and one plain line about the mode right above Deploy. Level matches end in a DRAW, and Free For All ties are no longer decided by player name. Bullet marks on Farm read as dents in the surface, and the Widowmaker's metal is less mirror-like. Cleaner text in all nine languages: no more clipped labels in Loadout, Barracks, Host Room, the scoreboard and the Shop.
3.7.39 — Weapon finishes keep their detail2026-10-30Weapon finishes keep their texture detail, from light paint to dark metal. Dark launcher finishes have clearer edges. Updated weapon thumbnails in the catalogue. VSync and quality settings stay steady when you enter a match. Death overlays no longer cover the match results.
3.7.38.1 — A practice match after your first match2026-10-29After your first completed match, you may be offered a short practice match or a return to Quick Play.
3.7.38 — Your global rank in Barracks2026-10-29A weekly rule is explained the first time you encounter it. Prepare, edit and manually copy an optional problem report from pause or match results. Play time saves more reliably. Season standings load correctly, and Barracks shows your own global rank. Improved readability of secondary text in menus, match results and the shop. Gold pack names and the full refund notice fit the purchase window. Weapon finish and Starter Pack previews rotate in the shop. Starter Pack weapon selection works while its previews are open.
3.7.34 — A faster first match2026-10-24New players start with a short first match: Team Deathmatch on Farm, three minutes. Your first spawn faces the enemy side, and the enemy team moves toward you from the start. The first match shows a goal of 3 kills and a FIRST BLOOD message on your first kill. Leaving your first Quick Play match early now shows a summary of your kills, deaths, score and time played. The first-launch notice is shorter, with the full details one click away. Quest completion labels display correctly.
3.7.33 — Mode of the week and the siren hunt2026-10-24Quick Play matches on larger maps are faster, with more contact and harder fights. Mode of the week brings big heads or low gravity to Quick Play and custom rooms. Check HOME for this week's mode. Ranked, practice and your first private match keep their normal rules. Big heads change the look, while hitboxes stay the same. Low gravity means longer jumps and flying bodies. Get five kills without dying in public Quick Play to trigger the siren hunt. The enemy team hunts you for 30 seconds. Survive the hunt for +500 match score.
3.7.31 — A clearer path to your next match2026-10-23After your first match, the results screen and HOME now point you toward your next public match and explain that new rounds last five minutes. PLAY AGAIN now keeps your request while reconnecting. You can cancel while waiting, or retry if the connection takes too long. Gold kill and win objectives now say they need matches with other players. Pending progress is labelled “Syncing match progress”. The end-of-match countdown now says it is opening your results. Corrected the Private rank hint: earn 1,000 score to reach it. The matchmaking timeout message is now translated into all nine supported languages.
Update 3.7.30: Shorter Matches, One Matchmaking Pool2026-10-23Shorter Quick Play matches Everyone now looks for matches in one shared pool. Before, a game that had remembered a server region searched apart from everyone else, so two players online at the same time could miss each other. Regular Quick Play rooms created by the game now last five minutes instead of fifteen. The kill goals stay at 50 for Team Deathmatch and 25 for Free For All. Your first match on a new account is a private two-minute match against bots. If Quick Play finds a match already running, you join that one with its own settings. In that private first match, enemy bots give you more time to react before firing and their shots are
Update 3.7.25: Your Team Is Blue2026-10-22Your team is blue Your teammates, players and bots, have a thin blue outline. Behind a wall you still see a quieter outline, so you know where your team is. Enemies have no outline. Cover, shadow and night hide them; you find them by looking. The second team wears woodland camouflage. The night maps stay dark. A teammate's name, health bar and the marker above their head are blue as well. The whole screen follows the same rule: your team is blue and the other team is orange, on whichever side you play. That covers the score bar, the kill feed, the scoreboard, team chat and the name tags. This replaces the fixed team colours from 3.7.20. Your
Update 3.7.20: Team Colours and a New Shop Front2026-10-21Teams you can tell apart Each team has one fixed colour on player names, the kill feed, the scoreboard and the score. The second team wears steel blue that stays readable on the night maps. The team chat label takes your own team's colour. Maps Tropical City: the beach has an edge. You can no longer walk off it into the sea. Shop SHOP opens on a Featured row of three items you can buy today: a finish for the weapon you carry, an emblem and a plate. Tabs below it: Weapons, Finishes, Emblems, Plates and Gold. Gold packs are priced in your Steam wallet currency, and the Gold tab shows the price Steam will charge. Coin pack bonus labels are easie
Patch 3.7.18.92026-10-12Atmosphere on every map Every map now draws its distance haze. Far mountains, buildings and halls recede behind the fight instead of standing out at full contrast. Farm's haze takes the colour of its sky, so the mountains fade into it. Ironvault and Blackreach Keep have a lighter haze than before, so a soldier at the far end of a hall stays visible. Knowing who is on your side Teammates carry their blue arrow up close too, not only at a distance. When teammates stand together, the nearest one keeps their name and health bar and the others show their arrow, so labels no longer pile on top of each other. Under fire The red arc that appears when
Update 3.7 — The Keep Is Open: two new maps, rankings & gear everyone sees2026-10-05The Keep Is Open It has been a while since our last update post, 3.5.0. Vertal Strike has kept moving the whole time, through 3.6 and the 3.7 line, and 3.7.18.4 is live on Steam now. This post rounds up everything that changed since then: new places to fight, a reason to chase a spot on the boards, and gear that other players actually see. Two new maps Blackreach Keep: torch-lit stone halls, stairwells and tight corners. Cover is close and fights are fast. Ironvault: a walled compound with long open sightlines. Both maps come up when you press DEPLOY, in Practice and on the Servers screen. You can also pick them in Host Room. Rankings, in the
Update 3.5.0 — Chat, music, and a shop that tells the truth2026-08-29Chat In-match chat is visible and usable. T talks to everyone, Y to your team, Enter sends, Escape cancels. Pressing T no longer freezes your movement and mouse in a chat box you cannot see. The chat keys are listed in Settings → Controls, along with the scoreboard key. Audio Three original menu tracks, shuffled each session, that now crossfade into each other instead of cutting dead and slamming the next one in at full volume. Victory and defeat stings, and ambience for every map — no map had a single ambient source before. Music and ambience volume can be set from the in-match pause menu, not only from the lobby. PLAY TEST SOUND plays a sou
Update 3.4.0 — Grenades get their own slot2026-08-26Loadout Grenades and launchers have their own LETHAL tab in the armory. Frag, Molotov, Shrapnel, Thumper and Scatter are picked there, separately from your knife. MELEE is blades only now. A grenade you had equipped moves across to LETHAL by itself, and so does a launcher you were running as your primary — nothing you own is lost. Grenade details read honestly: anti-personnel, thrown, with the real reload time instead of rifle figures. PRIMARY lists shotguns among its upcoming unlocks again, and the home screen names the knife you actually carry. Fixes from players running the build "No Internet Connection" on a machine that is online. The ga
Update 3.3.0 — Find Each Other Faster2026-08-24Matchmaking DEPLOY now looks for any open public room before it creates a new one. A player who picked FFA and a player who picked TDM used to end up in two separate rooms — now they meet. Quick Play from the Servers screen respects your mode and the featured map instead of rolling a random one. Quick Play rooms are always 8 slots / 15 minutes — a random 2-slot room used to bounce the third player into an empty one. The server list shows your real ping instead of an estimate. Performance First launch picks a quality preset from your GPU: integrated graphics and 2 GB cards no longer start with 8× MSAA and every post effect on, and strong cards
Update 3.2.1 — Sharp on Every Screen2026-08-24Display Fixed blurry rendering on scaled HiDPI desktops (Linux especially) — the game now starts at the largest real display mode instead of the compositor's scaled-down logical size. New in Settings → Video: RESOLUTION and DISPLAY MODE (fullscreen / borderless / windowed) controls. Your choice is remembered. Achievements Expanded from 5 to 21 — career tiers for kills, score, play time and the full rank ladder, plus first win, headshot kills, a melee kill and a 5-kill streak. Career progress you already have unlocks retroactively on your next login. Interface Button labels no longer run edge-to-edge in longer translations — every button check
Update 3.2.0 — Now in 9 Languages2026-08-23Localization The entire interface — menus, inventory, shop, barracks, missions, settings, scoreboard and match results — is now available in 9 languages: English, 简体中文, Русский, Deutsch, Français, Español, Português (BR), Polski and Türkçe. Switch languages any time in Settings → Accessibility · UI. The menu rebuilds on the spot; no restart needed. 中文玩家:完整的简体中文界面已经上线——在设置中切换语言即可。感谢提出这个建议的评测! Notes Weapon names stay in English on purpose — they are proper names. Spotted a translation that reads wrong? Tell us on Discord or info@vertalstrike.com and we will fix it in the next patch.
Update 3.1.0 — Steam Achievements2026-08-23Achievements Five Steam achievements are live: First Deploy, Century (100 kills), Ten Thousand (10,000 score), Veteran (10 hours played) and Captain (top rank). Progress you already have counts — long-time players unlock theirs on the first login after updating. Menu The home screen now shows how many operators are online before you queue. The deploy panel has been rebalanced — the DEPLOY button is properly sized and the dead space is gone. The highlight sweep on primary buttons is actually visible now instead of a dark smudge. Fixes The PLAYTIME stat in Barracks under-reported by 60x, which also made the 10 HOURS DEPLOYED milestone unreachab
3.0.1 - Progression that keeps going2026-08-18Progression Weapon unlocks were all packed into levels 3, 8 and 15, so about 58 kills cleared the entire catalogue and the remaining 63 levels handed out nothing. Unlocks now run from level 2 to level 62. Every weapon can still be bought, and every price is now set to half the grind to its own unlock level. Buying a weapon means having it at half the wait, instead of paying for something the level track was about to give you anyway. Match rewards pay one coin per point of score, so a kill is worth roughly 10 gold. Nothing was taken away. The first time you sign in, every weapon your old unlock level had given you is added to your account for
Update 3.0 — Everything you see, rebuilt2026-08-16The lobby is a room now The menu scene used to ship with a camera, the interface, and nothing else, so every screen was drawn on a flat grey slab. There is a set behind the interface now: a floor with a pool of light where the operator stands, a backdrop far enough away that the frame ends in a surface, light shafts angled through the dark, and haze along the ground. He is not a photograph either. He checks his weapon between screens, and the whole set drifts a couple of centimetres against the camera — so the crates in front of him travel further across the frame than he does. Every screen, in one design Home is a dashboard: your profile and
Patch 2.2.13 — The end of a match looks like the game2026-08-16The end of a match looks like the game now When a match ended you got two pieces of interface that had nothing to do with each other, or with the rest of the game: a banner across the top in a different typeface, the countdown to the lobby floating loose at the bottom of the screen, and a summary panel below it in a different orange. It is one card now, in the same typeface and the same colours as everything else. Final standings The standings used to vanish along with the match - they existed only while you held Tab. They are part of the results card now: who finished where, with kills, deaths and score, so the last thing you see is how it a
Patch 2.2.12 — The operator moves, and stands in a room2026-08-15The operator moves He did not before. The idle he was given is a humanoid clip - it carries muscle curves, not per-bone curves - and the component playing it could only read the second kind, so he stood perfectly still while the menus were built around him. He breathes, shifts and settles now. And he stands somewhere The menu scene shipped with a camera, the interface and nothing else, so every screen was drawn on a flat slab. There is a set behind the interface now: a floor with a pool of light where he stands, a backdrop far enough away that the frame ends in a surface, light shafts angled through the dark, and haze along the ground for his
